Unrelated (Independent) Samples (Groups) T Test With SPSS | With its Purpose and Prerequisites

The unrelated samples t-test is used when the measurements of a variable are measured in two independent groups and it is desired to determine whether the results of these groups differ significantly from each other.

However, in order for this test to be used, the measurement results compared

1-should be equally spaced or equally proportional measurement level,

2-should show normal distribution.

In cases where these conditions are not met, if the measurement results are at least at the level of the ranking scale, the Mann-Whitney U test is used instead of the unrelated samples t test.

In this video, how the unrelated (independent) samples (groups) T Test is performed using SPSS, when it is used, what its main purpose is, what the prerequisites are and its interpretation are explained in detail.
